SyncCS: A Cloud Storage Based File Synchronization Approach

چکیده

More and more people begin to own multiple computing devices. File synchronization technologies are needed to effectively manage data which spans multiple devices. However there is not a general standard for file synchronization system. In this paper we propose a file synchronization model based on cloud storage SyncCS. We describe the SyncCS architecture and present a novel twostage file synchronization protocol along with a conflict resolution mechanism. We evaluate the performance of our proposed file synchronization protocol. Our experimental results indicate that the number of operations to be synchronized when using our protocol is relatively smaller than that using a widely used method.
